Project Description

MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Entrance/Exit A1 is one of the busiest exits in the MTR network. To improve accessibility of Entrance/Exit A1, the Corporation is planning to modify this 32-year old station exit in terms of passenger facilities and architecture. The exit will be reconstructed with a new lift, two escalators and a new enclosure with better aesthetic appeal.

The modification work was commenced in end 2012 and the new Entrance A1 was opened for public use on 7 May 2016. Overall reinstatement of the surrounding area was completed.

For further information about the project, please refer to the information paper (in Chinese only) submitted to the Traffic & Transport Committee of Yau Tsim Mong District Council on 15 March 2012.
