MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified consultants to express their interest in tendering for Consultancy Agreement A165-15E: Design Consultancy on Power Supply System for KTL, TWL, ISL & TKL.
The Kwun Tong Line (KTL), Tsuen Wan Line (TWL), Island Line (ISL) and Tseung Kwan O Line (TKL) have a total route length of 52.4km. The power system network of the four railway lines consists of 33kV/11kV, 33kV/3.3kV, 33kV/1500V, 33kV/415V and 11kV/415V power supply and distribution systems including major assets like power transformers, rectifiers, switchgears, cables, protection and control equipment.
The scope of the Consultancy shall include a detailed study with computer simulations for the strategy to replace and upgrade the power supply system network and develop the practicable plan and all necessary stages with design packages to upgrade the power supply system meeting all prescribed requirements and improvement initiatives to meet the future trains service demand and operational requirements.
Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified consultants who have an established office in Hong Kong.
The prequalification process will take place in August 2015. Tender for the Consultancy will be invited in October 2015. The Consultancy is scheduled to be awarded in January 2016 and completion of the Consultancy services is anticipated in December 2016.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having the relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 11 August 2015 via MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 25 August 2015.
