MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified consultants to express their interest in tendering for Consultancy Agreement A206-18C: Traffic Study for Light Rail Road Junction Safety Improvement.
The scope of the services under this Consultancy comprises the carrying out of the traffic engineering study and proposing safety improvement measures at around 12 road junctions along Light Rail, including the following:
1. Collect all relevant information from the Transport Department and liaise with relevant government departments.
2. Carry out field study and review on the current road junction layout, signal arrangement, signage, speed profile and all related traffic data.
3. Identify sources of problems and propose safety improvement measures including preparing signal adjustment and carrying out schematic design to address the findings.
The Consultant is also required to prepare presentation materials and technical papers/reports, attending relevant meetings and presenting the findings and recommendations to the Corporation and other relevant government departments.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in May 2018 and tenders will be invited in June 2018.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 11 May 2018 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 18 May 2018.
