MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of Optical Data Network at Light Rail (LRL) Stops.
The Optical Data Network will comprise optical data switches, optical fibre cables, optical fibre distribution panels and optical fibre patch panels to be installed at the 158 LRL platforms of 69 LRL Stops. The Optical Data Network will provide optical fibre connectivity for the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) System, Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) System, Public Address (PA) and Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) in LRL. The Optical Data Network will interface with the existing LRL Corporate Data Network.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, system cutover, training, documentation, and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period for the Optical Data Network.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in April 2016 and tenders will be invited in June 2016.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 21 March 2016 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
