MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for replacement of the existing 2G/GSM modems in trains of Island Line, South Island Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, and Airport Express for emergency/train service information message dissemination from the Operations Control Centre (OCC).
The existing 2G/GSM modems in trains receive emergency/train service information messages from the OCC for dissemination on in-train display systems via mobile Short Message Service (SMS). These 2G/GSM modems would be replaced and upgraded to 3G/4G modems under this contract.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, system cutover, training, documentation and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period of the replacement works including the decommissioning and disposal of the existing 2G/GSM modems in trains.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in June 2018 and tenders will be invited in September 2018.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 6 July 2018 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 18 July 2018.
