MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for Contract C7216.B-17E : Replacement of TV Network System and Panels at Island Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, Tung Chung Line, Airport Express Line and South Island Line.
The existing TV network system and panels to be replaced comprises of 112 no. of 103-inch plasma TV at trackside, 33 no. of 42-inch LCD TV and 3 sets of TV ring (each set consists of 5 LCD TV panels) at station concourses, and corresponding backend content management systems including controllers, station servers, media players and client workstations at 48 MTR stations. They are connected by a data network provided by MTR Corporation.
The scope of the Works under this Contract includes
1) replacement of the existing trackside TVs, concourse TVs and TV rings by 122 no. of 108-inch trackside LED module displays, 33 no. of 43-inch LCD TV and 3 sets of TV rings (consists of 43-inch or 49-inch LCD TVs) at station concourses, together with their associated media players, peripherals and equipment enclosure;
2) provision of new power connection from designated power source to the equipment;
3) provision of new control equipment and their migration from the existing data network to a new data network (with 40Gbps as backbone) provided under this Contract, and interface with the existing digital advertising platform of MTR Corporation for the development, scheduling and distribution of video content; and
4) warranty and maintenance services to the completed works.
The base scope of (1), (2), (3) and (4) shall be provided for 48 stations. An option shall be included for extending (2), (3) and (4) to another 12 stations.
The prequalification process for the tender will tentatively take place in February 2017 and tenders will be invited in June 2017.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties who having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 21 March 2017 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00 pm (Hong Kong Time) on 10 April 2017.
