MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of sprinklers at Prince Edward Station (PRE) and Yau Ma Tei Station (YMT).
The scope of the Works shall include the design, supply and installation of sprinkler system at the concourse level (including the public areas and back of house areas), adits and station entrances of PRE and YMT. The system shall be directly fed from existing town supply mains. The Works shall also include the modification of the existing building services, structural and architectural finishes to suit the new sprinkler system.
The tender will be divided into two packages as follows:
Package A – Provision of Sprinklers at PRE
Package B – Provision of Sprinklers at YMT
Depending on the prequalification assessment, companies may be selected to tender for either or both the packages. Provision of maintenance services for the sprinkler system subsequent to the completion of installation will be included as an option.
The Contractor or its sub-contractor for the fire service installation shall be a Class 1, 2 and 3 Fire Service Installation Contractor registered in Fire Services Department. The Contractor or its sub-contractor for the building and structural works shall be a Registered General Building Contractor (RGBC).
Apart from PRE and YMT, sprinkler installation projects will be implemented progressively in other stations along Tsuen Wan Line, Kwun Tong Line and Island Line. Subject to satisfactory performance in PRE and YMT, the Contractor(s) may be requested to undertake more sprinkler installation projects in the other stations.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in August 2021 and tenders will be invited in September 2021.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 13 July 2021 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Following expression of interest, the applicants will in due course receive the invitation for prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System by the time and date stated in the invitation for prequalification.
