MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for Contract K1499.B-18C: Slope Improvement Works along EAL Phase 5B.
The scope of works shall include tree surveys, ground investigation, provision of temporary access to site, cutting back of slopes, fill replacement works, slope surface protection, provision of surface and subsurface drainage system, upgrading of retaining structures, construction of retaining walls and concrete buttresses, provision of maintenance stairways, installation of soil nails, rock mapping survey, rock slope stabilization measures and associated landscaping (including tree felling and compensatory planting), etc. to three slopes along the East Rail Line (EAL). The concerned slopes are summarised below:

The Works will be carried out in close proximity to the EAL and historic buildings. Appropriate temporary protective and monitoring measures shall be provided.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in January 2018 and tenders will be invited in Q2 2018.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 14 February 2018 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
