MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the procurement of four 3-axle double-decker buses to enhance passenger services.
The scope of works comprises the design, manufacture, factory testing, delivery, pre-delivery inspection for four 3-axle super low floor double-decker buses. The buses shall meet the current legislation and code of practice in Hong Kong. The buses shall be designed and equipped with key features including full aluminium body structure, ramp and parking space for wheelchair, air suspension, power assisted steering, brake system with ABS/ASR, integrated CCTV system, exit door obstruction detection device, TETRA mobile radio with OFCA license, Euro VI emission standard engine or above, facilities for passengers with disabilities, tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensor & fatigue detection device, over speed prevention, A/C system with environmental type refrigerant such as R134a, stainless steel fuel tank, electronic destination display unit, bus fleet management system, support cradle for driver display unit, bus card processor and engine fire suppression system. Warranty and comprehensive maintenance and technical support shall also be provided.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in December 2020 and tenders will be invited tentatively in February 2021.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 18 December 2020 via MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive an invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 6 January 2021.
