Expressions of Interest are hereby invited from suitably qualified consultants of Civil and Structural Engineering discipline for Technical Study on East Kowloon Line.

 

The MTR Corporation Limited (the Corporation) is committed to serving the transport needs of the community of Hong Kong by the provision of world class railway facilities.  East Kowloon Line (EKL) was promulgated in the Railway Development Strategy 2014 on 17 September 2014 and it was prioritized by the Government for implementation.  EKL would enhance the railway accessibility to the upper East Kowloon area by a new railway line for approximately 7.8km between Diamond Hill and Tseung Kwan O area, with a number of new stations in the upper East Kowloon and Tseung Kwan O area, including a new depot.  

 

The civil engineering lead but multi-disciplinary consultant shall liaise and work collaboratively with the Corporation’s in-house study team to review all technical issues and devise a feasible railway scheme, with due consideration of the geological condition and operational requirement.

Suitable applicants will be provided with a brochure entitled “Technical Study on East Kowloon Line – Information Brochure” which is to be completed and deposited in the Tender Box located at the Level 2 Reception Counter in the MTR Headquarters Building no later than 2:00 p.m. on 8 May 2015 (Hong Kong Time).

 

In addition, the past three years audited company accounts should also be attached and, if the applicant is a joint venture, then each of the partners of the joint venture must submit their respective accounts.

 

The information provided by the applicants will be used to assess the suitability of the consultant or joint venture partner to propose for and carry out the Services.
