MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for maintenance services for the Fallen Object Detection System (FOD).
The FOD systems are installed at EAL platforms with large platform gaps, including Mong Kok East Station (MMK) platform 2, Kowloon Tong Station (KOT) platform 2, University Station (UNI) Platform 1 & 2 and Lo Wu Station (LOW) platform 1 to 4 for detecting fallen objects on track and subsequently trip train signal. The major equipment of the FOD consists of pressure mats, indication panels, Programmable Logic Controllers, and etc.
The scope of the maintenance services includes the comprehensive corrective and preventive maintenance of the FOD including on-call services, software recovery, diagnosis, etc., to ensure all the equipment shall be in sound operating condition and efficient working order. The maintenance services period for the Contract is for three years.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in July 2018 and tenders will be invited in July 2018.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 26 June 2018 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 10 July 2018.
