Pre-qualification for Mobile Flash Butt Welding Machine and Sundry Equipment for Trackwork

1. Background Information

The Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link is a cross boundary transport infrastructure project, which will provide a high speed rail service between HK and Guangzhou, and a connection to the National High-Speed Rail Network serving major Mainland cities. The Hong Kong section of the Express Rail Link is a dedicated corridor entirely in tunnel.

The station of the Express Rail Link, is located immediately north of the proposed West Kowloon Culture District between the MTR Kowloon Station to the west and the Austin Station to the east.

2. Scope of Works

The Contractor shall be able to provide the mobile flash butt welding machine, slow bend machine, electric roller system and other sundry equipment for trackwork and overhead line maintenance of the Express Rail Link..

The Works to be conducted under the Contract shall include the design, procurement, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, storage, installation, testing, commissioning, setting to work, performance demonstration, training, and rectification of defects for the mobile flash butt welding machine, slow bend machine, electric roller system and other sundry equipment.

4. Expressions of Interest

In order to be considered for pre-qualification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experiences are requested to express their interest on or before 14:00 (HKT) on 17 November 2017 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System. Late applications will not be considered.

5. Deadline to Return Answers / Information

Upon expression of interest, the Contractors will receive invitation of pre-qualification via the E-Tendering System within 2 weeks of 17 November 2017. The Contractors shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than the time specified in the pre-qualification invitation letter.
