Artist's Concept:
Tseung Kwan O had gone through tremendous transformation in recent year. From empty farmland it transformed into one of the greatest new town development of Hong Kong creating homes for millions of citizens. I am proposing to celebrate the birth of a new city by installing sandblast glass murals called City of Towers on the window next to the foot bridges at Po Lam Station. The sandblasted images would be depicting the everyday life between country and the city. Images of country lifestyle from the past would be juxtaposed against images of contemporary city lifestyle. Creating beautiful surrealistic scenery that could be look at on a face value but also could provoke deeper thoughts regarding history and the transformation of this great new town.
