Artist's Concept:
Internationally-recognised Chinese artist Mr Liao Yibai obtained inspiration for "Like Water" from the thinking of the ancient philosopher Lao Tzu. The piece was created using complex techniques, employing Western relief and traditional Chinese woodcarving methods to render cold, rigid stainless steel into the shapeless softness of water. The child at the centre represents the inherent goodness of people.
