Post Period of Insects

Artist Name:
Feng Shu (China)

Artwork Location:
Tai Wai Station

Form of Artwork:
Porcelain and Stainless Steel

Artist's Concept:
Mr Feng Shu was inspired by his childhood fantasy to possess his own army of insects. Now he can realise these fantasies by creating the insects in his artwork and making them hundreds of times bigger than they are in real life for even greater impact. The body of each dragonfly and butterfly is made of Chinese traditional porcelain in vibrant colours and attached with stainless steel wings and legs. "Post Period of Insects" suspends from the ceiling at the interchange platform, adding tranquility and a sense of nature to the station.
