Artist's Concept:
“Journeys along the South Island” is a community art collaboration between the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation and artist Tse Ngan-sum that illustrates the landscape, traditional festivals and customs of the Southern District.

An aerial view of the district illustrates traditional coastal activities including the Dragon Boat Festival, a Lunar New Year dragon dance and dedications to the goddess Mazu during the Tin Hau Festival.

Led by the artist, more than 80 youngsters depicted aspects of daily life in the community using creative paper-cutting and collage techniques.
