Go faster, go further! Get ready for your High Speed Rail journey on 23 September!

High Speed Rail opens on 23 September! To get ready for your High Speed Rail journey, you are suggested to arrive at Hong Kong West Kowloon Station at least 45 minutes before the train departure time to complete security check and relevant immigration formalities. Besides, please make sure your luggage fulfils the requirements, in which the maximum total dimensions per piece should not exceed 130 cm (approximately the size of a 24-inch suitcase). In particular, each adult passenger should not carry more than 20 kg of luggage and each child passenger should not carry more than 10 kg of luggage. Moreover, as High Speed Rail does not provide baggage or parcel consignments, passengers may contact the service provider for parcel consignment and delivery services which is located in the Ticketing Concourse at level B1 (next to the Ticketing Counter) in the station.

High Speed Rail opens on 23 September! Upon entering Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to take High Speed Rail, you will find six stunning artworks created by artists from Hong Kong, Mainland, France, Morocco, and South Korea to brighten up your journey. Located in the station・s central atrium, the .Map of Hong Kong Culture・ captures the ins and outs of Hong Kong history and culture with a natural green wall. What・s more, artworks are also displayed at pedestrian subways and even at taxi waiting areas.

High Speed Rail opens on 23 September, connecting you to 44 Mainland stations without interchange!

High Speed Rail will soon take you from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to 44 stations in Mainland. Whether you are going to short-haul destinations like Shenzhen and Guangzhou or long-haul destinations like Shanghai and Beijing, you can enjoy a hassle-free journey without interchange. Besides, you can travel to more destinations through over 25,000km national high speed rail network.

Three easy steps to start your High Speed Rail journey!

Follow three easy and convenient steps to take High Speed Rail.

Step 1: Pass the ID check at the Ticketing Concourse, then go through the first tier gates for security check.
Step 2: Descend to the Departure Concourse to complete both Hong Kong and Mainland immigration clearance.
Step 3: Go through the second tier gates to the platforms for boarding trains. Gates will be closed 5 minutes before train departure time.

Remember to allow sufficient time for completing relevant security and immigration procedures.

The giant curtain wall of Hong Kong West Kowloon Station comprises over 4,000 irregular glass panels to maximize daylight penetration. Vibrant Express is ready to serve you!

High Speed Rail opens in September, connecting you to 17 major Mainland cities without an interchange. If you are going to Shenzhen and Guangzhou, you can choose to take the Vibrant Express. The trains are modern and comfortable. Each train offers free power-charging, Wi-Fi and extra comfy seats with adjustable backrests. Accessible toilets and wheelchair areas bring passengers with special needs a more comfortable ride. What・s more, hot water dispensers are available on the train. Remember to bring your own cup!

Many transport choices connect you to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to take High Speed Rail!

Hong Kong West Kowloon Station is accessible by a comprehensive pedestrian network, with seven* footbridges and two subways linking up Austin and Kowloon MTR stations, and Elements, as well as the surrounding area. Travellers can also take MTR, buses and mini-buses to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, that a bus terminus is just a short walk away. Besides, the station also provides taxi stands and a car park.

*Only six footbridges will open to the public at the early stage of service commissioning
