Passengers taking the Airport Express to interchange to MTR lines can enjoy free MTR connections. To benefit from this offer, simply use the same Octopus (with sufficient value), Contactless Bank Card* or e-wallet QR Code to interchange within one hour of arrival between the Airport Express at Hong Kong, Kowloon or Tsing Yi Station and the interconnecting MTR Station, including Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau Station (except the Light Rail, MTR Bus and East Rail Line First Class). There should not be more than 9 transaction records on the Octopus between the Airport Express and MTR rides.
When changing between Tsim Sha Tsui/ East Tsim Sha Tsui Station, passengers using Octopus must do so within 30 minutes of arrival at either station. Passengers using Contactless Bank Card* or QR Code to transfer via Tsim Sha Tsui/ East Tsim Sha Tsui Station will have the journeys treated as two separate trips and charged separately. Such interchange is not eligible for the free connection offer. Only the MTR journey taken immediately before or after the Airport Express trip is eligible for the free connection. For passengers taking journeys starting with MTR lines followed by the Airport Express, the journey with the lower fare will be free.
