MTR Fare Savers Terms and Conditions

  1. Passengers who tap an Adult Octopus on MTR Fare Saver reader before an MTR ride, and enter through the designated MTR station(s) as specified with the respective Fare Saver will be eligible for $2 Fare Saver discount (“Fare Saver discount”).
  2. The Fare Saver discount is valid for same day paid trip (until the end of service that day) from the designated stations. If the same Octopus is taken for entry at non-designated MTR station, the Fare Saver discount will be deemed as ineligible and void.
  3. If more than one Fare Saver discount is recorded, the last Fare Saver discount recorded will be applied.
  4. The ‘3.3% Rebate’ (Promotion period from 30 June 2019 to 4 April 2020), the ‘Early Bird Discount’ and the 25% discount for connecting journeys of ‘Monthly Pass Extra’ (except for East Rail Line First Class Premium) can be used in conjunction with the ‘Fare Saver’ discount. The total discount amount shall not be higher than the rail fare deducted. For details of the above-mentioned promotions, please refer to the respective promotional leaflets.
  5. The following trips are not eligible for Fare Saver discount:
    i. Airport Express
    ii. Airport Express Free MTR Connections
    iii. Monthly Pass Extra for unlimited travel on a designated line including passengers paying the First Class Premium
    iv. Fare Saver discount obtained during the interchange at Tsim Sha Tsui Station/ East Tsim Sha Tsui Station within 30 minutes limit

  8. MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to alter or terminate the MTR Fare Saver discount offer at any time without prior notice.
  9. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Ordinance shall not apply to the terms and conditions herein.
  10. MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to make the final decision in the event of any dispute.
