Senior Design Management Engineer -Civil (Ref Code: SDME)

Reporting to the Design Manager - Civil, you will lead a team of Design Management Engineers to review the design submissions from consultants/contractors, achieve an integrated design and programme with other disciplines and give directions on key design issues to meet the objectives of the new railway extension projects. You will assist in coordinating with senior officials of relevant government departments to resolve all issues affecting gazetting and implementation of the railway scheme under the Railways Ordinance. You will also provide civil engineering support to construction management teams and resolve related problems.

You should be a Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with at least 12 years' relevant experience, of which 4 years should be at management level and preferably in managing the design of large-scale infrastructure projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and technical skills are essential.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Design Management Engineer I-Civil (Ref Code: DME-I)

Reporting to the Senior Design Management Engineer - Civil, you will be responsible for managing the design of the civil engineering components for new railway extension project. You will coordinate the design with other disciplines to meet the project objectives and the overall design programme. You will liaise with architectural staff, in house E&M and railway systems designers, government officials and external parties to obtain the requisite statutory approvals and ensure that the designs are completed in a cost-effective and timely manner to the requirements of the Corporation.

You should have a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution. You should also have at least 8 years' relevant experience in managing the design process of large-scale civil engineering projects. Previous experience in multi-disciplinary environment or railway projects is an advantage.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.

 

Design Management Engineer II-Civil (Ref Code: DMEII)

Reporting to Design Management Engineer I - Civil , you will assist in managing the design of the civil engineering components for new railway extension projects and coordinate with other disciplines to meet the project objectives and the overall design programme. You will also carry out extensive co-ordination with consultants, internal departments and other external parties to obtain the required approvals and ensure that the designs are cost-effective, completed on time and to the requirements of the Corporation.

You should have a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent and Corporate Membership of a relevant professional institution. You should also have at least 4 years' experience in managing the design process of large-scale civil engineering projects. Previous experience in a multi-disciplinary environment or railway projects is an advantage.

Appointment will be made on two-year renewable contract terms.
