Caring for the Environment |
 The Express Rail Link is a designated rail project for which an Environmental Impact Assessment has been prepared by environment experts under the EIA Ordinance. The Report was reviewed by the Advisory Committee of the Environment and approved by the Environmental Protection Department in October 2009. The Assessment evaluated possible environmental impacts of the project during the construction and operational stages with mitigation measures proposed to ensure the levels of the different environmental impacts comply with the statutory requirements.
The Corporation will take every possible measure to minimize the impact of the works to the public and ensure all environmental impacts which may arise from the works are kept within acceptable standards.
