Project Description
The Corporation conducts routine maintenance and improvement works for slopes along East Rail Line. The works will be carried out in three phases under a ten-year programme starting from 2004.
Implementation of Phase I improvement works on four slopes located along the East Rail Line, was completed in 2008. The scope of works undertaken comprised the slope reinforcement, installation of water drains and surface protection. Some element of greening like surface planting was also adopted to provide a better environment to the public.
Phase II improvement works on another four slopes located near Hung Hom, Tai Po Market and Tai Wo stations was completed by May 2011. Major works include soil nail works, shotcreting, seeding and drainage works.
Phase III improvement works, involving slopes in Kowloon Tong, Tai Wai, Fo Tan, Tai Po Kau and Tai Wo, commenced in 2012 and targeted for completion by 2015. |
