Scope of Works

The Project comprises:

  • Construction of seven stations (HIK, DIH, KAT, TKW, MTW, HOM, & HUH), of which HOM & HUH will be constructed under other designated projects;
  • Construction of above-ground entrances, ventilation shafts and plant buildings associated with the stations;
  • Construction of a new train stabling sidings located at the Diamond Hill Comprehensive Development Area (CDA) site (i.e. former Tai Hom Village);
  • Construction of a viaduct section from Hin Keng to Tunnel Portal;
  • Construction of at-grade section at Hin Keng and Hung Hom;
  • Construction of tunnel sections between stations;
  • Construction of two tunnel portals at Hin Keng and Hung Hom North Fan area. One portal will be at Hin Keng adjacent to Che Kung Miu Road; another one will be at Hung Hom near Winslow Street Garden respectively;
  • Construction of a ventilation building at Ma Chai Hang, and ventilation shafts at HIK, DIH, KAT, TKW and MTW;
  • Construction of one temporary barging point at Kai Tak Runway, and a Hung Hom Freight Pier Baring Point which is share used and constructed under Kwun Tong Line Extension (KTE) project;
  • Construction of a temporary explosives magazine site at Tseung Kwan O Area 137;
  • Construction of site offices, areas for construction material storage and construction shafts during construction; and
  • Operation of the railway system and the stabling sidings.
