Control and maintenance of the Railway is carried out 24 hours a day by 3 major departments:

• The Operations Department for train services and station operations;
• The Rolling Stock Maintenance Department for maintenance of passenger trains; and
• The Infrastructure Maintenance Department for maintenance of structure, tracks, and other fixed installations along the railway lines.
