Disneyland Resort Line
The DRL is a dedicated two-station line connecting the MTR network to Hong Kong's Disney Resort. Built in a design partnership with Disney's Imagineering Team, the extra-ordinary in customer services shaped the design and operation of the line. Disney character-themed trains with spacious and plush interiors welcome and delight passengers. The Disneyland Resort Station combines a concourse and platform in open landscape planning to serve the spacious park entrance and open air plaza. Victoriana dominates this station's physical design, reminiscent of 19th century train stations with sweeping staircases, open girder framework, natural overhead light and period-attired station attendants to assist visitors. The Sunny Bay Station serves as an interchange to the MTR network incorporating modern eco-design features such as a fabric roof for natural ventilation and connected overhead pedestrian walkways to facilitate access to road transport and parking facilities.
