A Global Business
MTR Corporation is in the business of planning, building and managing mass transit systems and rail-related services. In our markets outside Hong Kong, we undertake joint ventures in mass transit system development, operating franchises and rail consultancies. In Hong Kong, with the rail-network-related property rights made available, we develop selected sites with recognised property developers. We also hold properties for investment and manage a substantial portfolio of commercial, retail and residential properties adjacent to our system.
