WATER CONSUMPTION The main source of water consumption is keeping MTR's tunnels, tracks, facilities and equipment clean. MTR has introduced measures to reduce water usage with the result that water consumption for Urban Line and Lantau Airport Railway stations in 2002 was 187,031m, a decrease of over 11% compared to 2001 (211,073 m).
