At MTR, environmental responsibility starts at the highest level and cascades down throughout the organisation to ensure that all staff understand their own responsibilities and the ways they can best assist the Corporation meets its environmental goals. At the operational level, each of the six Corporate Divisions is responsible and accountable for its own environmental performance, and for meeting its objectives and targets. To direct and oversee the development and implementation of the Corporate Environmental Policy and related initiatives, the Corporation has established an Environmental Coordinating Committee. This Committee comprises senior representatives from each of the six Divisions and reports directly to the Operations Director. |
