Adding value to your Octopus Card

(A) Go to any Octopus Add Value Machine at any MTR station: 1. Remove your Octopus Card from its protective pouch and insert into the Add Value Slot.
2. When the green light illuminates, insert a HK$50 or HK$100 bank note into the bank note slot and repeat the process until you have added as much value as you want.
3. When finished, simply press the button and retrieve your Octopus Card.
OR
(B) Ask the staff at any MTR Customer Service Centre to add value to your Octopus Card in multiples of HK$50. OR
(C) Use the Automatic Add-Value Service (AAVS) feature to automatically add HK$250 or HK$500 of value when the remaining value on your Octopus Card reaches a zero or negative balance, or when its usable value (including maximum negative value) is no longer sufficient for you to settle your payment. Notes: 1. To add value on an Octopus watch, please go to any MTR Customer Service Centre.
2. Your Octopus Card can store up to HK$1,000.
3. Your Octopus Card is valid for three years from its last add-value date.
