City Saver

City Saver covers 67 designated urban stations. It is valid for 40 single journeys within 40 days for just $445. It is designed for frequent medium to long distance cross-harbour commuters looking for even more ways to save money.

Designated MTR stations

City Saver is valid for travel between designated stations – the Island Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, Tsuen Wan Line, South Island Line, East Rail Line (stations between Hung Hom and Kowloon Tong), Tung Chung Line (stations between Hong Kong and Tsing Yi), Tuen Ma Line (stations between Diamond Hill and Tsuen Wan West).

Validity Period: The first journey must be made within 14 days after purchase. The ticket is valid for 40 days after the first journey

Tips for using the City Saver:

Please keep the receipt for any enquiry and malfunction ticket handling.
Please remember to start using the ticket within 14 days from the day of purchase.
Avoid putting the ticket and other tickets, such as the Octopus, together, or the processor may fail to identify the ticket in use.
To avoid malfunction, please do not bend or press hard on the ticket.
Using the ticket is easy: TOUCH the ticket to processor when you ENTER the gate and INSERT it when you EXIT. The ticket will be captured after the 40^th journey (except for exit at Tsim Sha Tsui or East Tsim Sha Tsui stations).
No extra journey will be deducted from the ticket when interchanging between Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui stations within 30 minutes.

Example 1: Interchange at Tsim Sha Tsui Station / East Tsim Sha Tsui Station

Scenario A	Within 30 minutes 1 journey deducted from the City Saver
Scenario B	Over 30 minutes 2 journeys deducted from the City Saver

Example 2: Travelling beyond designated coverage when using the City Saver
From Central Station to Yuen Long Station (beyond designated coverage)

Scenario A	Enter Central Station with the City Saver -> exit at Tsuen Wan West Station, re-enter using other tickets to continue the journey -> exit at Yuen Long Station Fare: 1 journey deducted from the City Saver, and fare between Tsuen Wan West and Yuen Long stations
Scenario B	Enter Central Station with the City Saver -> travel to Yuen Long Station directly (cannot exit with the City Saver, need to pay the normal fare for the whole journey at the Customer Service Centre before exit) Fare: Octopus fare between Central and Yuen Long stations (If the passenger does not have a valid Octopus with sufficient balance to pay for the fare, the passenger has to pay in cash for single journey ticket fare) Remarks: The City Saver is only valid for the Tuen Ma Line (stations between Diamond Hill and Tsuen Wan West); no journey will be deducted from the City Saver in this scenario

Scenario A

Enter Central Station with the City Saver -> exit at Tsuen Wan West Station, re-enter using other tickets to continue the journey -> exit at Yuen Long Station

Fare:
1 journey deducted from the City Saver, and fare between Tsuen Wan West and Yuen Long stations

Scenario B

Enter Central Station with the City Saver -> travel to Yuen Long Station directly (cannot exit with the City Saver, need to pay the normal fare for the whole journey at the Customer Service Centre before exit)

Fare:
Octopus fare between Central and Yuen Long stations (If the passenger does not have a valid Octopus with sufficient balance to pay for the fare, the passenger has to pay in cash for single journey ticket fare)
