The last 100 years have seen Hong Kong transform itself from a humble fishing village to a world financial powerhouse. This one-day heritage tour will show you just a few of the pivotal stops the Territory and its people have made along the way.

Marvel at the Monuments of Ping Shan
Ping Shan is one of the oldest and most historic districts in Hong Kong. Along its 1-Km Heritage Trail, you will discover several remarkable examples of traditional Chinese architecture. Especially noteworthy are Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda, Tang Ancestral Hall, Sheung Cheung Wai, Kun Ting Study Hall and the Hung Shing and Yeung Hau Temples.

Immerse yourself in the Past at Hong Kong Heritage Museum
Hong Kong Heritage Museum is a must-see attraction for all who are passionate about history, culture and the arts. The traditional Chinese architecture and enclosed Chinese red clay-roofed quadrangular courtyards here represent an excellent example of the Museum's amazing blending of past, present and future.

Tsang Tai Uk - Traditional Hakka Village
Constructed between 1848 and 1867, Tsang Tai Uk is one of very few traditional Hakka villages remaining in Hong Kong. The three-storey towers on each corner of its castle-like village structure were once used for defending the villagers from enemy attacks.

Experience a Little Colonial Ambience in Tai Po
While both are declared monuments, Island House and the Old North District Office still retain almost all of their colonial atmosphere and charm.

Other Visitor Must-sees - Hong Kong Railway Museum
This remains the only museum in the Territory dedicated to the history of Hong Kong's railway systems. The facility is located close to the historic former Tai Po Railway Station which was built in 1913 and officially became a declared monument in 1984.
