Open for Entry Now
Enrolment Period : Now until 11 March 2011

MTR HONG KONG Race Walking 2011 is now open for enrolment! This year, top tier race walkers from across the Asia-Pacific will be competing in the Men's and Women's Elite races, giving the opportunity for local race walkers to learn winning skills and techniques from overseas athletes. In view of the overwhelming response last year, the quota for the Novice Walk has been increased allowing more people to participate in this annual Hong Kong mega-event and to enjoy the health benefits of race walking.

As a continuous commitment to promote walking for better health, the Corporation and the Hong Kong Amateur Athletic Association are joining hands again to organize the annual Race Walking event. The 2011 Event is scheduled to take place on 10 April 2011 in the heart of the Central business district. Register now and walk more for better health!

Fund Raising Programme

The MTR HONG KONG Race Walking 2005 to 2010 have raised more than $6.8 million for the Hospital Authority Health InfoWorld to support its work on disease prevention and health education. A health-oriented initiative named "Ideal BMI" Disease Prevention Project was launched in 2009 to empower the working population with the knowledge and skills to prevent obesity and related health problems. Leveraging the support from more than 40 companies, the project has already benefited more than 40,000 employees. Your donation will contribute to a healthier future for Hong Kong, so act now.
