Six Banyan Trees Temple and Flower Pagoda
The many attractions you can see when visiting this renowned Buddhist scenic spot in Guangzhou include the imposing 58-metre high Six Banyan Trees Pagoda. Made from copper whose casting dates back to the Sung Dynasty, the column supporting the pagoda's spire is covered in thousands of tiny, intricately carved Buddhas.

Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area
The awe inspiring scenery of East Guangdong's mountainous Baiyun area is made all the more magnificent by the Nankun Mountain range to its north and the Pearl River to its south. Dating back over 1,000 years, the wealth of ancient calligraphic inscriptions on Baiyun's cliffs and rocks have been a major tourist draw since the area's initial development in the 1960s. Now the largest scenic destination in Guangzhou, Baiyun offers several other worthwhile attractions which can easily be visited by walking, driving or simply taking a cable car up the Mingchun Valley.

Yinxian Mountain Villa
This new tourist and resort destination has quickly built up a well-deserved reputation for its breathtaking lakes, mountains and astonishingly accurate recreations of ancient architecture. Located southeast of Dongguan (Changping) Station, the 700-acre resort is surrounded by spectacular man-made lakes and is home to an 18-metre tall white marble statue of Guanyin overlooking the South China Sea. Here, you will also discover a classical gallery whose many imaginative creations lead visitors to a majestic five-storey high pagoda filled with vividly carved inlays that bring legendary Buddhist stories to life.

Sun Yat-sen Park
At 280,000 square metres, this is far and away the largest park in Foshan. Waiting to welcome you at the front gate is a splendid six-metre high "Statue of the Heavenly Maid Scattering Blossoms". Walk past the tall trees towards Xiuli Lake and you will come upon an imposing memorial archway and red brick arched bridge. The park's eastern section is dedicated to recreational pursuits, while its western section is simply perfect for viewing landscapes.

Ancestral Temple

Tiananmen Square
Long the venue for the Central People's Government's ceremonies and parades, this vast square houses many noteworthy landmarks. To the south can be found both the Monument to the People's Heroes and Chairman Mao's Memorial Hall. Walk to the east and you will discover the China History and Revolution Museum, both of which are directly opposite the Great Hall of the People. The Great Wall
Still standing tall after more than 2,000 years after it was built as China's first line of defence against foreign invaders, the Great Wall is truly one of the Wonders of the World.
