New Railway Projects teams celebrate Chinese New Year with the community

Construction works of respective new railway projects are in full swing. Growing together with the communities, our new railway project teams took the chance to celebrate the Year of the Snake with them, sharing wishes for the smooth implementation of the projects.

Wonderful community events – spreading holiday blessings

New Railway Projects

The Tuen Mun South Extension project team continued its collaboration with the non-profit charity, Ching Chung Koon for an annual Chinese New Year community event. A great performance of the six “lions” and a small dragon from the Taoist Ching Chung Primary School (Wu King Estate) and Ching Chung Wu King Kindergarten successfully kicked off the event. There were several “Fai Chun” booths where calligraphers crafted auspicious phrases on Fai Chun, inscribing wishes and delivering heartfelt blessings to the residents. The project team distributed festive lucky bags, lucky windmills, and Fai Chun to the residents, conveying warm festival greetings and heartfelt wishes.

The event attracted over 1,000 Tuen Mun residents and their family members, and representatives from various sectors, including members of District Council and Community Liaison Groups, were present to celebrate and spread festive wishes. The showcase of Green Ambassador "Green T Baby" was the key highlight of the event which received a warm welcome from many residents. The residents expressed their anticipation towards the low-carbon commuting experience to be brought by the new railway extension projects.
