MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for construction of the extension of the Heavy Repair Workshop at Ho Tung Lau Depot (HTD) under Contract 11260.
The objective of the works is to convert an existing 7-car train workshop to a 9-car train workshop with associated workshop facilities. The scope of civil works includes demolition / modification / alteration of existing RC compartment walls, ceiling and track slab and construction of new fire-compartment concrete walls, RC pits for turntables and underground lifting jacks, RC footings and support steel frame for future overhead crane system whereas the main scope of E&M works includes ventilation, spot cooling, air conditioning, fire services including drencher system, genset power upgrade, electrical works and alteration / modification of existing E&M works / systems / installations.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in July 2019 and tenders will be invited in Q4 2019 tentatively.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties who are Registered General Building Contractors under the Buildings Ordinance and having the relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 6 August 2019 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
