MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified companies to express their interest in tendering for the captioned.
The objective of this project is to develop a Wi-Fi Network coverage for depots for Smart Depot Maintenance. The Works will be divided into two packages for tendering:
Package A - DUAT Lines
For Airport Express, Tung Chung & Disneyland Resort Lines and Urban Lines (DUAT), including Chai Wan Depot, Kowloon Bay Depot, Tseung Kwan O Depot, Tsuen Wan Depot, Siu Ho Wan Depot and Wong Chuk Hang Depot; and
Package B - WELM Lines
For West Rail Line, East Rail Line, Light Rail and Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 (WELM), including Ho Tung Lau Depot, Pat Heung Depot, Tai Wai Depot and Tuen Mun Depot.
The Works shall provide the wireless network to connect and monitor the equipment and analyse the data wirelessly and remotely in real time.
The scope of the Works includes:
a. the design, manufacture, supply, delivery to site, installation, calibration, testing & commissioning, provision of as-built drawings, Operations & Maintenance Manuals and spare parts, and provision of warranty support during Defects Liability Period for the Wi-Fi Network coverage for the depots;
b. the Wi-Fi Network shall include equipment provision and installation at various depots, interlink of each depot via enhanced In-train TV system and Corporate Data Network (CDN) and sets of Network Management System (NMS) in MTR premises for control and monitoring the system;
c. all network security issues for the connection of the depot Wi-Fi network to In-train TV System, CDN and demilitarized zone (DMZ) for internet access;
d. fibre splicing from each depot to DMZ. Network equipment shall be provided in selected stations;
e. interface works and acceptance tests with the smart maintenance applications;
f. all cabling works and enabling works to supply power to the equipment from dedicated power source; and
g. (for Package A only) an Integrated Network Management System and support the interface with NMS at each depot to provide consolidated alarms and monitoring functions for Infrastructure Engineering Control Centre.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in July and August 2020 and tenders will be invited in September 2020.
