MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the replacement of the 800MHz Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) radio amplifier system in Island Line (ISL), Tsuen Wan Line (TWL), Kwun Tong Line (KTL), Tseung Kwan O Line (TKL) and Airport Express & Tung Chung Lines (A&T).
The TETRA radio amplifier system to be replaced includes Optical Master Unit (OMU), Optical Remote Unit (ORU), Network Management System (NMS) and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS). The Optical Remote Units were located in 31 locations and were connected to existing Radio Distributed Network (RDN) to provide the radio coverage in the tunnels, stations and ancillary buildings.
The scope of the works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, training, documentation, and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period of the TETRA radio amplifier system including the decommissioning of the existing system.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in September 2020 and tenders will be invited in December 2020.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 20 August 2020 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
