MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of a tunnel/trackside optical fibre network and the associated patching and splicing accessories at both up and down tracks of Airport Express (AEL), Tung Chung Line (TCL) and Disneyland Resort Line (DRL) between Tsing Yi Station and Tung Chung Station and down track of Island Line (ISL) between Admiralty Station and Wan Chai Station.
The tunnel/trackside optical fibre network shall comprise low smoke zero halogen optical fibre cables with multiple core up-to 96 cores per cable, cable joints and cable termination facilities and the associated accessories for splicing and patching of the existing tunnel fibre cables at the selected stations, traction substations and depot of AEL, TCL, DRL and ISL.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, splicing and patching, testing, commissioning, training, documentation and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period of the tunnel/trackside optical fibre network.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in September 2019 and tenders will be invited in November 2019.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 30 August 2019 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
