MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of a Trackside Access Door Detection System for Island Line (ISL) and Tsuen Wan Line (TWL).
To enhance the security monitoring in track area and to improve the safety protection against track intruders, the Trackside Access Door Detection System will be implemented with Internet of Things (IoT) technology. About 400 locations with various types of doors, including full height door, full height gate, partial height gate and barrier bar, along the trackside of ISL and TWL will be monitored by the Trackside Access Door Detection System.
The Trackside Access Door Detection System will provide the door/gate detection and transmit the status to the IoT gateway located at adjacent station via the existing leaky cables in tunnel and the status will be centralised at Tsing Yi Operations Control Centre via the mobile network or the Corporation’s Corporate Data Network.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, documentation, rectification of defects, training, maintenance services and product support during the Defects Liability Period for the Trackside Access Door Detection System.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in November 2018 and tenders will be invited in February 2019.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 16 November 2018 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
