MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the replacement of the existing Distribution Communications System (DCS) at eight selected stations and the associated running tracks on Island Line (ISL), Kwun Tong Line (KTL), Tsuen Wan Line (TWL) and Tseung Kwan O Line (TKL) to support the additional mobile phone services of Long Term Evolution (LTE) signals in the frequency bands of 1800MHz, 2300MHz and 2600MHz.
The existing DCS is a radio coverage network supporting the mobile phone services of the Personal Communication System (PCS) and Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) signals in the frequency bands of 1800MHz and 2100MHz respectively within the stations and the associated running tracks along ISL, KTL, TWL and TKL. After the replacement works, the DCS at the eight selected stations and the associated running tracks will also support the LTE signals in addition to the PCS and UMTS signals.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, training, documentation, and rectification of defects during the Defects Liability Period of the DCS replacement works.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in September 2015 and tenders will be invited in November 2015.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 14 September 2015 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00 p.m. (Hong Kong Time) on 28 September 2015.
