MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of bus fleet management system on 155 MTR buses and in the Corporation’s Bus Operational Control Centre (Bus OCC) at Hung Shui Kiu Bus Depot.
The bus fleet management system shall comprise real-time location tracking of buses, bus data logging, driving alert and messaging functions between the buses and the central bus fleet monitoring and system administration at the Bus OCC. Global Positioning System (GPS) along with correction algorithms on GPS positions shall be provided for the bus fleet management system.
The scope of the Works includes the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning, documentation, rectification of defects, training, setting to work, maintenance services and product support during the Defects Liability Period of the bus fleet management system. The Contract will include an option for the provision of the bus fleet management system for 10 additional MTR buses.
Interested parties should have a track record of providing a similar fleet management system for public transportation vehicles (preferably for buses) for a fleet size which is comparable to that of this Contract.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in March 2016 and tenders will be invited in May 2016.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 8 March 2016 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive the invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00pm (Hong Kong Time) on 7 April 2016.
