MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for Contract K2297.B-20C Replacement of Platform Awnings at EAL Stations (Stage 1).
The project is the replacement of platform awnings at various stations along East Rail Line (EAL). The scope of works under Contract K2297.B-20C includes the following works for Phase 1 of the project for Shatin Station (SHT) and Sheung Shui Station (SHS), as briefly described below:
1. Replace existing metal awnings, fascia panels and stainless gutters above the station platforms (approximate total awning plan area of 9,250m2);
2. Re-paint existing steel supporting frame for the awnings and fascia panels; and
3. Temporary E&M services relocation works for awning support steel frame re-painting work.
The Contract includes two Options for Phase 2 of the project, one for Kowloon Tong Station (KOT) (approximate awning plan area of 3,100m2) and another for University Station (UNI) (approximate awning plan area of 2,600m2), which may be exercised 3 months before contract completion.
The prequalification process for the tender will tentatively take place in June 2020 and tenders will be invited in September 2020.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties who are Registered General Building Contractors under the Building Ordinance and having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 20 July 2020 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
