MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for the provision of the maintenance services for the existing Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and Central Battery Systems (CBS) installed at stations, ancillary buildings and depots along Island Line, Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Airport Express, Tung Chung Line, Disneyland Resort Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, East Rail Line, Ma On Shan Line, West Rail Line and Light Rail. The maintenance services contract will be divided into two packages as follows:
Package A - Provision of maintenance services for approximately 544 sets of MGE/APC UPS and CBS with ratings ranging from 1kVA to 400kVA; and
Package B - Provision of maintenance services for approximately 163 sets of Astrid, Benning, Gustav Klein and Riello UPS and CBS with ratings ranging from 3kVA to 100kVA.
The scope of maintenance services includes comprehensive corrective and preventive maintenance for UPS and CBS including associated batteries to ensure safe, continuous and efficient operations of the UPS and CBS, and that the system availability and performance standards are met. The Contract period will be for three years, with an option to extend the maintenance services for another three years.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in February/March 2019 and tenders will be invited in April 2019.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 4 March 2019 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Following expression of interest, applicants will receive an invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. Applicants shall complete and submit all the information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than 2:00 p.m. (Hong Kong Time) on 11 March 2019.
