Expressions of Interest are invited from Consultancy companies of Civil and Structural Engineering discipline for the Technical Study on Tuen Mun South Extension.

 

The MTR Corporation Limited is committed to serving the transport needs of the community of Hong Kong by the provision of world class railway facilities.  The Tuen Mun South (TMS) Extension would enhance the railway accessibility to Tuen Mun South area by extending the West Rail Line for approximately 2.4km from the existing Tuen Mun Station to the proposed new Tuen Mun South (TMS) Station. The new extension would serve the community south of the current Tuen Mun town centre, near Wu King Estate, Siu Hei Court, Yuet Wu Villa and Tuen Mun Ferry Pier. 

 

The civil engineering lead but multi-disciplinary consultant will be required to liaise and work collaboratively with the Corporation’s in-house study team to review all technical issues and devise a feasible railway scheme, with due consideration of the environmental and operational impact on the new extension and the operating railway.

Suitable applicants will be provided with a brochure entitled “Technical Study on Tuen Mun South (TMS) Extension –Information Brochure” which is to be completed and deposited in the Tender Box located at the Level 2 Reception Counter in the MTR Headquarters Building not later than 2:00pm on 20 April 2015 (Hong Kong Time).

 

In addition, the past three years audited company accounts should also be attached and, if the applicant is a joint venture, then each of the partners of the joint venture must submit their respective accounts.

 

The information provided by applicants will be used to assess the suitability of the consultant or joint ventures partners to propose for and carry out the Services.
