MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified companies to express their interest in tendering for the Provision of Artwork Production Services for signage and passenger information in MTR stations. The scope of services includes:

 

·    create artwork based on preliminary design concept, established design format, technical drawing and braille information (for visually impaired passenger)

·    create 3D graphic layout

·    work on design adaptation to develop series of artworks

·    create signage setting out drawing

·    create artwork for specific Chinese font based on the style of ‘MTR Song’ and Chinese calligraphy based on the style of MTR supergraphics

·    create artwork for pictograms according to established design format

·    conduct site verification, comprehensive proof reading for artworks and image retouching

 

The prequalification process for the tender will take place in May 2018. Only qualified companies will be invited to submit tender, tentatively in June 2018.

 

In order to be considered for prequalification, interested companies having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest and submit information for prequalification for the services on or before 7 May 2018, and write to:–

Attention: Ms Cora Keung, Purchasing Manager – Property & Marketing, enclosing the following information in an envelope marked “Prequalification Submission for Provision of Artwork Production Services (Q061906)”.

 

·    Company background and profile

·    Resources, experience and organization chart of design team

·    Relevant experience especially in:

1. working as a term contractor to serve a well established signage system with regular information updating and design development for new sign type

2. projects involving numerous artworks with complicated content which require careful and tedious artwork production finished with comprehensive proof reading.

 

All companies responding to this advertisement are deemed to have complied with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in the collection and transfer of personal data to MTR Corporation Limited. All information submitted including personal data, shall be used by MTR Corporation Limited for the prequalification of tenderers for this Contract.

 

Companies shall not submit independent prequalification submission for the Contract if they intend to act as a supplier, sub-contractor or sub-consultant for another company, or if they are a partner of a joint venture established to tender for the Contract.

 

Companies having linkage to each other, e.g. subsidiaries, holding or sister companies, shall not submit prequalification for the same Contract, whether on their own or as a partner of a joint venture. “Sister companies” shall mean all companies which are subsidiaries of or otherwise belonging to the same holding company. The existence of a holding-subsidiary relationship shall be determined in accordance with the provisions in Sections 13 to 15 of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) of Hong Kong. Companies having linkage to each other shall determine which company will submit a prequalification.

 

MTR Corporation Limited reserves the right to withdraw at any time from the process or any part thereof without giving prior notice. No financial or any other obligation will accrue to the Corporation in such an event.
