MTR Corporation Limited invites qualified contractors/buyers to express their interest in tendering for the disposal / sale of 28 cars of Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs).
These Phase 2 LRVs are currently running in the Corporation’s Tuen Mun Light Rail Line and are planned to be in service until one month prior to scheduled service retirement from Q2 2021 to Q4 2023.
The Corporation is open to consider various feasible means/methods for disposal of these LRVs, from resale as whole LRVs to disassemble to sale as scrap. The Corporation will also consider any feasible community service plans or environmental initiatives utilizing the retired trains. Interested companies and entities are welcome to register according to the instructions below.
The prequalification process for the tender will take place in January 2021 and tenders will be invited in March 2021.
In order to be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 28 December 2020 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.
Upon expression of interest, the applicants will receive invitation of prequalification via the E-Tendering System. The applicants shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering.
