Expressions of Interest are invited from suitably qualified Applicants for the works described below.
1. Background Information
MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL) invites qualified contractors to express their interest in tendering for Contract No. Q120726: Provision of Grease Trap Maintenance Services for MTR Station Kiosks along Kwun Tong Line, East Rail Line, South Island Line, Island Line, and Tsuen Wan Line.
The invitation to tender for the Works is scheduled for Q3 2026 and the Contract is scheduled to be awarded in Q1 2027. The whole of the Works is scheduled to be completed by February 2030.
The Term Contract duration will be for three years commencing from March 2027 to February 2030 with option to extend the Term Contract for another three years.
2. Scope of Works
The scope of the Works includes the design, supply, installation, replacement, modification, testing and commissioning of Plumbing and Drainage (P&D) Equipment, including associated panel modifications, removal of existing equipment, and all necessary testing, certification and as-built documentation. The Contractor shall also provide all labour, materials, supervision, statutory approvals, contingency measures and temporary facilities required to ensure continuous operation of critical railway systems throughout the replacement works.
The scope of the works is briefly described as below:
1. The Contractor shall provide of all material labour, plant, tools, equipment, facilities and personal protective equipment which are necessary for carrying out grease traps maintenance services for food and beverage kiosks in MTR stations to control the odour and hygiene level of the grease, and to maintain effluent discharge performance of the grease trap in compliance with the statutory standard limitation.
2. The Contractor shall provide routine maintenance services by using bacteria solutions to control the odour and hygiene of the grease traps in MTR Stations in acceptable level and maintain ozone machine in normal operation condition.
3. The Contractor shall provide immediate services for any complaint on the odour or hygiene and non-compliance / emergency situation.
4. The Contractor shall provide routine desludging services to grease traps and sludge dumping to EPD approved dumping site for discharge.
5. The Contractor shall collect effluent sample from the grease trap outlet to HOKLAS registered laboratory to issue HOKLAS accredited effluent quality report to MTRCL.

4. Expressions of Interest
To be considered for prequalification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experience are requested to express their interest on or before 25 September 2026 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.

5. Deadline to Return Answers / Information
Applicants will receive a prequalification invitation via the E-Tendering System. The Applicants shall complete and submit all required information and details via the E-Tendering System no later than the time and date stated in the prequalification invitation letter.
All invitations and submissions for prequalification will be carried out through the E-Tendering System at http://www.hkextender.com.
6. Other Matters
Applicants responding to this advertisement are deemed to have complied with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance in the collection and transfer of personal data to MTR Corporation Limited. All information submitted including personal data, will be used by MTR Corporation Limited for the prequalification of tenderers for this project.
Applicants shall note and make themselves aware of the Corporation’s ethical and probity requirements which shall be applied throughout the tender and contract periods. Further, Applicants shall not, and shall ensure that its directors, employees, agents and sub-contractors shall not, offer or give any advantage as defined in the Prevention of Bribery Ordinance (Cap. 201) to any employee or agent of MTR Corporation Limited. Any breach or non-compliance with this paragraph by the Applicant shall, without affecting its liability for such breach or non-compliance, result in its application not being considered.
Applicants shall not apply for prequalification as an entity if they intend to act as a supplier, sub-contractor or sub-consultant for another entity who will also apply for the prequalification, or if they are a partner in a joint venture established to seek prequalification for this Contract.
Companies having linkage to each other, e.g. subsidiaries, holding or sister companies, shall not apply for prequalification as a tenderer for the same contract, whether as a single entity or as a partner of a joint venture. “Sister company” shall mean all companies which are subsidiaries of or otherwise belonging to the same holding company. The existence of a holding-subsidiary relationship shall be determined in accordance with the provisions in Sections 13 to 15 of the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622) of Hong Kong. Companies having linkage to each other shall elect which company shall apply for prequalification.
The Corporation reserves the right to conduct negotiation with shortlisted tenderers or with the tenderer who submits the lowest price technical compliant tender on the technical and financial terms of the tender offer(s). Such negotiations may be conducted through e-auction or other appropriate methods as determined by the Corporation.
