Prequalification for Electrical and Mechanical Contract

Building Services for SCL Hong Kong Island Section
Contract No.: 1164B
1. Background Information
The Shatin to Central Link (SCL), which consists of Phase 1 - East West Line (EWL) and Phase 2 - North South Line (NSL), is a strategic railway line that runs through multiple districts in Hong Kong to strengthen the current railway networks by connecting several existing lines through a number of interchange stations.
The 11-km EWL extends the Ma On Shan Line from Tai Wai Station to Hung Hom where it will connect to the West Rail Line to form an East-West rail corridor. The NSL is a 6-km extension of the existing East Rail Line (EAL) from Hung Hom Station (HUH) across the harbour to Admiralty Station (ADM), forming the North-South rail corridor.
There will be 3 stations (HUH, Exhibition Station (EXH) and ADM), 3 ventilation buildings (North, South and Hong Kong Park Ventilation Buildings) and an emergency egress point (Fenwick Pier Emergency Egress point (FPP)) on the NSL.
2. Scope of Works
The scope of Contract 1164B includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and rectification of defects during the defects liability period of the Building Services for the EXH, South Ventilation Building and FPP. The Building Services comprise the following systems:
a) Environmental Control System;
b) Electrical Services System;
c) Fire Services System;
d) Plumbing System;
e) Drainage System;
f) Station Based Control System; and
g) Condition Based Monitoring System

4. Expressions of Interest
In order to be considered for pre-qualification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experiences are requested to express their interest on or before 14:00 (Hong Kong Time) on 25 September 2015 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System. Late applications will not be considered.

5. Closing Date for Return of Answers / Information
Upon expression of interest, the contractors will receive invitation of pre-qualification via the E-Tendering System within 2 weeks of 25 September 2015. The contractors shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than the time specified in the pre-qualification invitation letter.
