Prequalification for Electrical and Mechanical Contract

Expressions of Interest are invited from contractors who wish to submit a tender for

Lifts and Escalators for SCL Phase 2
Contract No.: 1172B

  

1.      Background Information

 

The Shatin to Central Link (SCL), which consists of Phase 1 - East West Line (EWL) and Phase 2 - North South Line (NSL), is a strategic railway line that runs through multiple districts in Hong Kong to strengthen the current railway networks by connecting several existing lines through a number of interchange stations. The 11-km EWL extends the Ma On Shan Line (MOL) from Tai Wai Station to Hung Hom Station where it will connect to the West Rail Line (WRL) to form an East-West rail corridor. The NSL is a 6-km extension of the East Rail Line (EAL) from Hung Hom Station across the harbour to Admiralty Station, forming the North-South rail corridor.

 

There will be 3 stations (Admiralty Station, Exhibition Station and Hung Hom Station) and 3 ventilation buildings (Hong Kong Park Ventilation Building, South Ventilation Building and North Ventilation Building) in the 6km underground section of NSL.

 

2.      Scope of Works

 

The scope of works comprises the design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and rectification of defects during the defects liability period of 42 no. heavy duty escalators with rise up to approx. 21m at Admiralty Station and Exhibition Station and 10 no. glass lifts and solid lifts at Exhibition Station, South Ventilation Building and North Ventilation Building in NSL.

4.      Expressions of Interest

 

In order to be considered for pre-qualification, interested parties having relevant resources, qualifications and experiences are requested to express their interest on or before 14:00 (Hong Kong Time) on 22 May 2015 via the MTR Corporation Limited’s E-Tendering System.  Late applications will not be considered.

5.      Closing Date for Return of Answers / Information

 

Upon expression of interest, the contractors will receive invitation of pre-qualification via the E-Tendering System within 2 weeks of 22 May 2015. The contractors shall complete and submit all information and details as required in the invitation via the E-Tendering System no later than the time specified in the pre-qualification invitation letter.
