Artist's Concept:
A collage of black and white sketches, depicting daily scenes in and around Sai Ying Pun’s main thoroughfares highlighting the commercial vitality of the area and the public transportation servicing the community. The images were derived from multiple “on-the-spot” pencil drawings, which were later re-worked into a larger composition in acrylic paint, using opposing perspectives to accentuate movement and draw the viewer into each scene.
